![]() ![]() The Folio Society publishes beautifully crafted collector’s editions of the world’s greatest books, each with newly commissioned illustrations or specially researched photographs throughout. I feel very mislead and disappointed in the motives, ethics, corruption and greed of this large business. I am highly considering only ordering books through Easton Press instead of Folio Society. If Folio Society is so concerned about the environment my suggestion is for it to stop using an extensive amount of fuel and polluting the environment rather than trying to save money by using baker's paper to wrap old or used books. ![]() The website and customer service representative claim the baker's paper is used for the environment but a single book can be sent by plane or ship across an ocean. They had to be sealed inside of the box damaged BEFORE shipment. I know this bc the box was in perfect shape but the books inside were damaged. Japanese Tales and Monkey arrived from the Folio Society damaged. Leading to my assumption that Folio sends used or returned books for the cost of new ones. The books were wrapped in baker's paper instead of SEALED plastic. ![]() A month ago I ordered two books (Japanese Tales and Monkey). On the contrary, the ethics and motives of Folio Society as a company seem disappointing. ![]() The customer service is great! I am highly pleased with them. Does Folio Resend Used and Returned Books as New? ![]()
